Bertha Dave

Bertha Dave, was born in Cedartown, Ga. and was raised in New York. She has been an advocate for people living with HIV/AIDs since she was diagnosed in 1995. She began her journey as a volunteer and through that experience, obtained a position as a Peer Educator, that opportunity opened the door for me to serve on many committees, such as African American Outreach Initiative  (AAOI), Consumer Caucus, and the Ryan White Planning Council. She also had the honor of serving on the Board of SisterLove. Along the way she’s been invited to speak at events and have been interviewed by several esteemed organizations and magazines.  Today, she continues this mission as an employee at AID Atlanta, where she has the privilege of supporting clients who come in for services.
