Community Health Worker (Prevention Specialist)
SisterLove, Inc. is seeking a Community Health Worker (Prevention Specialist) responsible for HIV testing, counseling, linkage to care, biomedical prevention tools, and education.
● Minimum Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field;
● Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Public Health, Social Behavioral, or a directly related field preferred; Master’s degree in Public Health a plus ;
● Must have one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting. An overall clinical background preferred
● One (1) year of experience providing HIV testing and counseling
● One (1) year of group facilitation experience
● Experience with outreach and community engagement;
● Basic knowledge of HIV infection and prevention
● CDC “Fundamentals of HIV Prevention Counseling” training certificate preferred
● Training in infectious disease control and universal precautions
● Identify and pursue educational opportunities to promote professional growth
● Awareness of local resources available for HIV prevention, treatment, and care;
● Possess a deep knowledge of and history of the Reproductive Justice movement
● Demonstrate a commitment to human rights, social justice, and gender
● Respond to client inquiries with compassion on the phone and in person;
● Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for this position
● Must be able to work on-site Monday through Friday and occasional weekends
● CPR certification ;

● Strong contributor in team environments ● Must live within 30 miles of Atlanta, GA, and have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license;
