Making an Impact
Our work to end the adverse impacts of HIV for marginalized communities takes many forms, and requires many different kinds of support. Whether these support partnerships take the form of institutional backing, or individual donations, our work to achieve reproductive health and justice for Black people who live with, or are affected by, HIV is directly enabled by the contribution of those that believe strongly enough in the necessity and possibility of a more equitable world to take action.
3 Easy Ways to Make a Difference

1. Become a P2P fundraiser for HIV Heroes
Our 20/20 Leading Women’s Society (LWS) is a group of women who have lived with HIV for 20 years or more, and take their positive status as a call to action. This year, in 2021, due to the risks presented by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to protect our HIV Heroes by postponing our in-person gathering. We are regrouping, and taking some time to lift up the amazing stories of these incredible individuals by sponsoring a grassroots effort to raise funds for the annual LWS Institute and Awards for 2022. There, the LWS will give workshops, create fellowship and networking opportunities, honor the community organizing work of the amazing LWS members, and bring in new inductees.
