About the Event

SisterLove’s Policy, Advocacy, and Mobilization Program (PAP) and our sponsors Senator Kim Jackson and Representative Park Cannon are proud to announce the 2024 Reproductive Justice Advocacy Day, “Black Women are Leading While Losing, It’s Accountability Time!" which will take place on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Georgia State Capitol. 

Please join us for a day of knowledge, empowerment, and celebration of community. This day has been crafted for you to make a meaningful difference by engaging with your Georgia state senator and representative.

AGENDA

8:00 AM to 10:00 AM 

This session, located in Coverdell Legislative Office Building 328, provides a hands-on advocacy experience. Breakfast will be served and SisterLove will be providing an overview of the reproductive justice framework, key bills and policies, and an advocacy training. (vegetarian breakfast options available)

12:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Please join us for lunch at the Central Presbyterian Church, Sanctuary room (201 Washington St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303 - directly across the Capitol building). Immerse yourself in a thought-provoking panel discussion led by SisterLove’s own Dazon Dixon Diallo starting at 12:00 p.m. Panelists include Black maternal health leaders Angela Aina and Stephanie Aristide of Black Mamas Matter Alliance. (vegetarian lunch options available)
